septic is a project hosting solution primarily developed for hosting open source software developed by myself integrating with GIT and mailman.

- Redirect to result if only one hit in task search and allow for task number searching.
- Add reporter and owner to watchers list and only use that when selecting recipients.
- Allow . in usernames and don't barf on duplicate revisions.
- Re-add updated at in tasks table and indicate sorting.
- Remove ferret from tasks completely removing septic ferret dependency.
Why
Why not? This all started out as a project for me to get GIT repositories up on the net easily as I didn't know of any other tool for that at the time.
Currently there are a set of other tools providing about the same functionality but all with different focus but as this is all for the fun of it I haven't yet seen a reason to stop developing this site.

- Mailing lists, rudimentary integration with mailman exists.
- News, each project has it's own news feed.
- Repository browsing, GIT/SVN repository browsing and history searching.
- Tasks, simple task creation and searching.
- Wiki, basic Wiki functionality based on mediacloth, a mediawiki syntax comptaible parser.

- Forums, are currently being developed by Florian Unglaub.
